The Alameda County Fire Prevention Officers are committed to the delivery of quality education, providing resources for engineering, and enforcement practices. This is accomplished by communication and the strategic planning and implementation of public education events, providing training and resources for fire prevention professionals county-wide, the development of best practices approach to building and fire protection system engineering, and the establishment of guidelines for the enforcement of state and local fire and life safety regulations through inspection and fire cause determination.
To provide uniform thinking to fire prevention practices,
Develop and coordinate solutions to fire prevention problems common to the fire service,
Provide information, input, and training to interested parties,
Maintain opportunities for the exchange of information and ideas among the county’s Fire Prevention Officers.
